Frequently Asked Questions

Get clear, honest answers to the most common questions about Nexus Letters, pricing, timelines, physician qualifications, HIPAA security, and how MD Nexus Pros supports your VA disability claim process.

What is a Nexus Letter?

A Nexus Letter is a written medical opinion from a licensed physician that explains how your current condition is connected to your military service. The VA requires a clear “nexus” or link to approve many disability claims — especially if a condition wasn’t officially diagnosed during service.

Who writes your Nexus Letters?

All Nexus Letters are written by board-certified, U.S.-licensed physicians. We do not use AI-generated reports or outsourced content. Every letter is based on a full review of your medical records and service history.

What types of conditions can you help with?

We support claims involving a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:

  • PTSD and other mental health conditions

  • Sleep apnea

  • Back and joint pain

  • Migraines

  • Tinnitus and hearing loss

  • Gulf War Syndrome

  • Secondary conditions (e.g., depression caused by chronic pain)

If you’re not sure whether your case qualifies, contact us for a free review.

How much does a Nexus Letter cost?

We offer flat-rate pricing based on case complexity:

  • Tier 1: $400 (1 condition, clear case)

  • Tier 2: $450 (moderate complexity)

  • Tier 3: $500 (complex or unclear service connection)

  • Expedited Service (7-day delivery): +$100

There are no hidden fees.

Do you offer Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)?

Yes. Our licensed physicians can complete official VA DBQs to help document your disability. These can be added to a Nexus Letter or ordered separately.

Do you offer Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs)?

Yes. We provide virtual and in-person IMEs for complex or appealed cases. These include a physical exam (if needed), medical report, and Nexus Letter or DBQ as required.

How long does it take to get my Nexus Letter?
  • Standard Delivery: 7–14 business days

  • Expedited Delivery: 7 business days
Delivery is always done via secure, encrypted client portal.

Is your process HIPAA-compliant?

Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use HIPAA-compliant forms, secure document storage, audit trails, and strict access controls. No PHI is ever sent via email.
